6” Santoku Chef Knife

This Japanese Santoku-style chef knife features a 6-inch blade ground from high-carbon 52100 ball bearing steel. Heat treated to 62 HRC on the Rockwell scale, it takes an exceptionally sharp edge and is known for excellent edge retention, making it a reliable everyday kitchen knife for precise prep work.

The blade is paired with a full tang handle crafted from stabilized black walnut and secured with mosaic brass pins. The handle is shaped for a comfortable, balanced grip and finished to highlight the natural character of the wood.

Included with the knife is a custom walnut Saya (wooden sheath), fitted with hidden magnets to help keep the knife securely in place when stored or transported.

As with all high-carbon steel knives, the blade will naturally develop a patina with use. The knife should be hand washed and dried promptly after use to prevent rust and preserve its finish.

Each knife is individually handcrafted, making every piece truly one of a kind.
